Biotherapeutic Drainage is a method of detoxification where the release and discharge of accumulated toxins is achieved through the opening of the “emunctories”. You might be wondering what an emunctory is and if you have any. You certainly do have emunctories, an emunctory is any organ (i.e. kidneys, liver, skin) or duct that removes and/or carries waste from the body. Interestingly the word emunctory is derived from the Latin word “emungere” meaning “to blow one’s nose”. One could think of opening the emunctories as a process of opening, letting loose, and releasing wastes that have accumulated on a cellular level in certain organs. Biotherapeutic drainage helps detoxify these organs that have become bogged down or overwhlemed with years of toxins in a gentle and thorough manner. This process returns the cells and physiology of the organ to its native homeodynamic state--renewing its ability to function optimally. There are several different types of biotherapeutic drainage available. In my practice I use a variety of systems including UNDA numbers, Pekana, Plant Stem Cell therapy/Gemmotherapy, and Organotherapy. Biotherapeutic Drainage is an excellent adjunct therapy that enhances the effects of other therapies as well as facilitating gentle cleansing, detoxification, and rejuvenation of the body. This leads to enhanced physical, mental, and emotional well being.
Homeopathy is a distinct system of medicine first developed over 200 years ago by Samuel Hahnemann, a German physician. Homeopathy is based on the principle of “like cures like” also known as the Law of Similars. Homeopathic medicine theorizes that any substance which can produce symptoms in a healthy person, could also alleviate those similar symptoms when they occur in someone that is ill. That substance that will alleviate the symptoms is administered in a very diluted form that evokes a healing response by the body. For instance if someone is stung a by a bee, the bee venom will produce redness, swelling, and a stinging sensation. The homeopath would prescribe bee venom or Apis mellifica remedy if a patient is suffering from any disease or condition that produces similar symptoms such as pharyngitis that would present as a red, swollen, stinging sore throat. Homeopathic medicine is a discipline that requires years of rigorous training and study. Homeopathic is effective, gentle and has the potential to treat not only physical conditions but mental-emotional symptoms as well. Homeopathy is used widely as primary care medicine as well as adjunct care by homeopathic, naturopathic and medical doctors in Europe, India, South America, and Africa. The use of homeopathy was widespread in the United States until the mid-twentieth century. There were major homeopathic hospitals in almost every state, including Hahnemann hospital in Philadelphia and New York Medical College in New York City.
